finally some done stuff!

                         Meet the North Wind!

Just thought Id post these photos of the completed dapple grey " justin time" resin commission and the lippizan in capriole I did for Katja, ( I think if you click on the pictures they get bigger) who was thrilled whit him. Im so happy you love him Katja! it means a lot to me! Now to get time to do mine! ( I bought a model of the same horse I did katjas on ) .. also, Its late but I did sculpt one more pumpkin I wanted to show here..I couldn't help it.. rick brought home a small round pumpkin one of his clients gave him when he was out shoeing their horse and he sat it out by my door for me..so.. I made the north wind! ..I plan on growing my own pumpkins next year and sculpting a bunch so I may just take off half of october to do some pumpkin sculpting..I am planning on trying to get some local businesses to commission me to do one for their stores.. something really fun and different to do !          I have been working on the mare and foal and hopefully will have more in progress pics of them soon. Also I am casting the cure medal this week.. I ran out of mold release and needed more silicone rubber for this one.. I didn't want to use the urethane rubber this time, so as soon as It gets here on wednesday I will get the mold made and get some cast up and sent to the artists I have asked to paint them, then they will be up for auction. I also plan on painting one or two myself so I will keep everyone informed on that.

Oh also! I finally finished a commission of a quarter horse mare.. Sappo for Katie Schmidt.. I took a standing carol Williams matriarch resin and changed her into a trotting mare.. I also re-sculpted her head to look like the real horse. I should have taken more in progress pics of this but I think I may have a few to use as a tutorial on HOW to really change a standing horse into a moving horse.. its tons of work! you cant just bend a leg like s many do.. I cut her up moved limbs and cut big areas out of her hindquarters and dremeled down the resin then added epoxy to get the correct anatomy for a moving horse.. if a back leg is moving forward,, then the whole back hindquarter is moving too! so many just either don't get this or don't care and want to do a fast job and sell it!.
Anyways, I also have some pics for a mold tutorial on a 2 piece mold I plan on doing in the near future, I just have to take time to put them together, and when I do them I will post the link here.
Website news:  Shallon Chance will be designing me a whole new website soon! As soon as she can catch up on a few things.. I hope it wont take her too long!.  One thing I have asked is for it to be easy for me to add items and update things myself... like the home page pictures and news and add photos of sales pieces.. so stay tuned for that!.  My old page is long overdue for a update, I just hate web-design so much I don't want to take the time to do it myself. Im not good at it either so.. why not get someone who is to do it and I can stick to what I do best!

Oh and heres a quick shot of peapod.. my lap buddy. he pretty much lives on my lap! and he must weigh almost 30 lbs! ( so much for breeding a smaller puppy than the parents! lol that sure didnt work!) I don't know why all of a sudden he is such a lapdog! If his mom miney who is much smaller is sitting on my lap and he wants there, he will sit on the foot stool, look at me with those big brown eyes and cry and cry. now could you say no to those eyes! I cant.. lol ..ok Im a push over.. he also sleeps next to me under the top blanket with his head on my thigh or my lap... although.. sometimes he will start to wiggle a bit at a time until he is draped over my lap! .. then I have to drag him off me in the middle of the night!.lol  wouldn't be so bad if it was actually cold out.. he will keep me really nice and warm when its really cold! but when its so warm for this time of year! 60 today I think! .. well it gets hot so off he goes!.. its just so nice to have someone there though, I never feel alone and him,  and mom and his dad wealsey bring lots of laughter to my life. Im really grateful to have them as my friends.
