New Mule Medallion!

Yes I finally finished it. I had started this medallion right after I made the Antica and Antico medals and I had it almost done but then thought maybe Id better wait to release a new one.. so, a few days ago I got it out and finished it. Its a large medallion as you can see in the photo with  my hand, taken for size purposes.. but I do have small hands so keep that in mind. Also as you can see its a mule mare and foal! yes I know.. they don't have foals.. but.. once in a million they do! hence the name of this medal.. One in a Million! They both have some slight body texturing but its really light... I fond some mule shoes online and tried to sculpt a mule shoe as a frame but If Id been thinking right when I did this piece in the first place..Id have just went out and gotten  a new horse shoe from rick ( my aunts boyfriend who lives with us and is a horse shoer!!) and sculpted the piece in the shoe! duh.. wish Id thought of it then!  When I went to make the frame. Thats when I thought of it! lol.. so I went out in the barn and grabbed a few different size shoes and .... dam they were too small... and too short.. I could have gone out and looked in his trailer for a draft shoe but I didn't want to make it any larger so I just sculpted one around it. I did go online and found pictures of mules shoes.. the only real difference I could see was the shape.. it was more narrow than a normal shoe, and since I had already had the shape of the piece done.. I just sculpted the shoe around it as best I could.... which Im not so sure is very good but it gives the idea I guess.
Anyways! I will make the mold on friday and hopefully start casting on sunday. Saturday I'll be gone all day with my son and is girlfriend who are taking me to see twilight and then out to dinner...  and if they have time are helping me move some furniture in my bedroom which needs done really bad! My place is so tiny I have got to re-think how I put things to try and get the most from my space here... so If anyone wants one the price if you buy it before christmas is $30.00 the price will go up to 40.00 after christmas because the price of my resin has gone up as has the shipping... I do have the 1st 10 sold and its only a one mold run.. so just email if you want one.  Again I prefer paypal but will accept checks and money orders.   The fun thing about the mules is they can be ay color!  Oh my email is Becky@solticeart.com if anyone didn't know that already. And I hope you all Have a Happy Thanksgiving! were having a small quite one here with my aunt and grandmother... just the 4 of us is all.. I do miss the real big get togathers we had when we were all younger though...  
hmmm ..after uploading the pics I just discovered I should add some of the mares shoulder in there.... will do that real quick today.. lol.. I don't know why I didn't see it in person! weird. also the foals neck looks real straight in the pics but its not in person.. so.I'll do that and post a new pic later.. duh...lol
