I know long time no post. Been so darn busy! its a busier time of year for us here.. with horses and gardens and berry picking and all that. I have been working on alot of different projects and have lots of photos to post on here for all of you but no time today so I'll just post whats new for now and catch up with everything else later.
First I have 2 new articles in print, one soon to come out in the Summer issue of the Ress Boat is part 2 of my 2 piece mold making ( http://www.ress.org ), and I also have a how to remaking/sculpting article out in the" Model Horse Magazines" current Issue ( http://www.modelhorsemagazine.com ) its a remaking of a breyer littlebit arab head. Im afraid some of the photos for this article were lost but hopefully its still understandable! Its a cute little modelhorse magazine and so far the best one out there I have seen. I hear of 2 new ones I haven't had time to ck out yet but will do so in the near future. ok sculpting news: The pony foal is still not done. Im afraid I made his little legs a bit too long so I will be cutting them down to size very soon then he is done! Pony mare 2 is also in progress and Ill post photos of her soon in a few weeks or so. I also have a new foal remake done and ready to paint and I want to post photos of him also I just haven't had time to take any good ones yet... but I will be painting him and he will be for sale. Besides commission work Im working on I have a new medallion out and ready to ship! It was my NAN plaque entry and since I didn't win I put a half back on it and made the mold up on sunday and am now casting him.. he is called "Fire" and he is about 4.5 x 4.5 inches. He sells for $28.00 each plus shipping and there is a break on 3 or more orders. Hey,I love the medallion! It didn't have that background on it when I saw it, did it? There was so much to look at I can't remember now! You work so fast ;-) Can't wait to see the foal when it's done.
I ordered an alcohol burner from a dental supply place, it was $2 cheaper and they didn't charge the fee that the sculpting place did.
What was the name of that clay that smelled like wax lips? That was a self-hardening clay, right? Where did you get that from?

no I added hte backing to it after you left..lol I had a cirle kind of liek this on it and I took it off for the contest.. but I like some kind of desing in with the medal when I make htem, not jsut a head.. great on the burner! I had a glass one or two, still htink I have one around here someplace..I like the plastic one because it has the marbles in the bottom so it wont tip over.. but great on the price and if its the same one thats even better! but then the glass ones dont tip very easy anyways...the clay was a wax clay mix and its called castelene and its at sculpt.com.. only place to get it that I have found and I looked al over..... so you have to pay that 5 bucks.. its why I try to order more than one thing there if I have to get anything fomr them.. I did tell them they are losing business by charging that fee and they should also take paypal.. lol have to always give my opinion dont ya know..lol..

lol tell him to not be..I have actually knocked mine over a few times! it just goes out as long as you grab it really quick..I dont know what happens if you were to leave it.. I think it just goes out.. I am always there to grab mine fast.. just never leave it lit when you get up and put the cap on or it will evaporate fast.. and always use denatured alcohol...... if your careful you should have no problem.. like I had to be careful when My cats were around they didn't light their tail on fire but I do remember one time some singed whiskers! he still didnt learn not to bother mom when she was working..lol I sure miss my cats.. youll be fine tell him to not be such a worry wart.. its all part of hte creative process! oh hey I have been reading about mail art.. you know hoses cards you make and trade? or sell? I think its cool and I could do my fantasy stuff again! in small size.. it would be fun.. and you can do still lifes, realistic ..anything! ck out this site and download the mag its free... and Ill send you the last issue.. it has alot of how to dan what to info in it.. heres the link...http://www.illustratedatcs.com/
