Happy New Year!
I have to say Im glad to see 2010 go... it was a crappy year for me and I didn't get near as much done as I had planned but with the abdominal surgery and
major dental surgeries I didn't feel well enough to do as much as I wanted and when I can't work it drives me nuts...
So lets hope 2011 is a better year not just for me but for everyone!
I have a lot of plans and things in the works for 2011 I didnt quite reach my goal of getting all the comissions done by the new year but Im close to where I wanted to be. Most are in the later painting stages or if its a remake then its nearing completion.I did get quite a few done and shipped though and that made me happy!
There are a few small comission projects though that are on hold or are not a priority so those I wont worry about, as I can work on them as I work on new projects.
Among the new things I plan for 2011 is a larger sized resin sculpture for the bjd ( Ball joint doll) community. I have been talking with a collector and they only really have one artist who has done a horse for collectors and in actuality its not really that great.. not to the standards of the model horse community at least....so I may be tackleing that this year..
I have also done work for other companies or individuals one being my boxer puppy sculpt which is now shipping and you can him find here http://www.equinartcreations.com/Jake.html
Also my new SM pony mare is casting now! I have one Im prepping and plan on painting and will post photos of her here when she is ready and also photos of the resin..I just haven't had time for a photo-shoot of her yet.. in the mean time heres pics of her in her resin waste casting missing the end of her tail... lol ... she came out really well in the resin! and I learned how to make a 3 part mold!
here is a photo below to show her size next to a Breyer stablemate
she is beng cast by mountain view studios so the casts are very nice and clean and not much prepping involved just a few seams.. She is $60.00 each plus $3.50 in shipping.
I have one left here in hand that can go out right away but I'll be ordering more on monday so if anyone is interested email me at Becky@solticeart.com I still have the mini foals to go with her or gypsy ( who's edition is closed) He is available for $35.00 plus $3.50 shipping ( unless he goes with a mare in that case no shipping on him)
here his photo of him painted by I think... Rayvin Brewer.. Not positive on that .. let me know if Im wrong. It also shows how tiny he is!
In the works in this mini pony series is a stallion chasing a dog... and I hope a new foal! On the medallion front I havent had time to work on the new one yet but im hoping soon...
Happy new Year everyone!!

Gorgeous horses Becky :) I'm actually a part of the BJD community now and hearing that you may be planning a horse for them is so exciting because I love your sculpts!!!
Becky!! Love the new feisty pony, can you get a shot of it with a Gypsy and Foal, just as I'd love to see them together! I love how you've made it slightly preggas, it just enhances the pudgy pony look, I love it!
Happy New Year, this year is going to be a cracker I just know it, your boxer puppy and this new little mare have you off to a fantastic start and I'm sure that now you're on the mend you'll be churning out those models in 2011!
Keep up the amazing work!
